We had a wonderful weekend of theatrical performances!
We won 4 tickets to see Mary Poppins in Atlanta on Friday. No make that Thursday. No, you're right. It was Friday. You see, there had been a ticket mix up and long story short we ended up giving our first set of free tickets to friends so they went Thursday night and we were given four more for Friday's performance. It was a scramble to leave at the last minute, but thankfully Mom and Dad took Bennett for the night and we hit the road to Atlanta after Simon arrived home from work in just enough time to get to the theatre.
Now back to the show. I cannot say enough about it. The kids were fascinated (Simon and I as well!). We stayed over at a hotel and came home Saturday morning.
Sunday, Haviland and I had a girls day out and I took her to go see Annie - the very first play I saw as a child. She had a wonderful time and has since "performed" two of her very own plays for me in the afternoons. I wonder if the acting bug will stick or not!
We had these wonderful box seats and we did enjoy them. However, I'm not sure the people below us did. Do you see that lovely Sprite that Haviland is holding? Somehow, it was left on the balcony ledge and fell over spilling the remaining melted ice on a mom and her daughter seated in the orchestra level below. Yeah, not my most proud mommy moment for sure!!! My face was redder than the stage curtain!
Still, all in all I have to say, "Leaping Lizards! What a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious weekend!!"
