If I step on one more Lego...

I've been wondering for a while how other families organize their Legos.

We were storing them in a big Rubbermaid container, but the whole bin would get dumped out on the floor to find one small piece and with a crawler in the house, it's just not safe to have so many small pieces scattered here and there.

I was excited a few weeks ago when I was at a friend's house and she showed me her scrapbooking cart she uses for workboxes in homeschooling. I took one look at it and thought, "Now that's what we could use for Legos!" (Sorry, the workbox idea for homeschooling didn't take root.) :)

I used a 50% off coupon at Michael's for our cart and here it is all loaded up:

We've love the fact that it rolls (from room to room in case a younger sibling is sleeping in the bedroom), the bins are clear, and each one has a lid that snaps shut.

I knew for sure it was a good idea when I saw that Lego has the same idea, but charges $55.00 for their version.

Which brings me to my question. How do you store your Legos?
This is the same question being asked over here and your answers will be posted for all to see. This is a neat blog that also hosts weekly Lego challenges that Jackson has enjoyed all summer.

Update: Here is the link to the submissions.

Ours are stored like yours previously were; one rubbermaid bin to the next as the collection grows. What a great idea! That might just have to be a Christmas gift for the boys! :)
