Catechism??

I know, it may sound silly, but for a Protestant non-denominational church attending Christian I only heard the word 'catechism' around my Catholic friends and thought it had little to do with me. Thankfully I have a friend who clued me in on the meaning of the word.

cat·e·chism - an elementary book containing a summary of the principles of the Christian religion, esp. as maintained by a particular church, in the form of questions and answers

Now I don't know about you, but to be honest if someone asked me the basic principles of my faith I'd struggle somewhat. I feel like I know, but could I articulate it? It's definitely what I want my children to be able to understand which has made me start looking for resources and here are the best I've been led to so far.

Big Truths for Little Kids by Susan Hunt

Training Hearts Teaching Minds by Starr Meade

And my new favorite, Westminster Shorter Catechism Songs by Holly Dutton

Take a listen...
