Treehouse - Part 4

Yea! Simon added a swing, a rope swing and pulley. So far the kids have really enjoyed it. On New Years Eve, we had a bonfire in the fire pit (behind the tree house) and roasted s'mores with friends. I hope I get pictures of that to post! (hint, hint Ali!)

Treehouse - Part 3

Ta-da! It's finished!

Today the slide and front rail were added.

There are a few more little things to add - maybe a tire swing and a pulley to bring up their "treasures".

I am so thankful for this weather we're having. Next week it will be back in the 50s and I hope I do not have to push them out the door to go and play!

Treehouse - Part 2

Here's today's progress:

Railing and stairs were added. Tomorrow should be the best day yet!

Haviland and I are ready to decorate it and she told me she wants to paint it pink.

Somehow, I think the boys are going to outvote us.

Simon's parents have been visiting from Northern Ireland and so Simon and his dad have been taking advantage of our 75 degree weather we've been having this week (you read correctly- only a week before Christmas and we're all in short sleeves!). They are building a tree house for the children and it is turning out wonderfully.
