Belly Mapping

I've been wanting to do something to remember this belly that involved the kids and it took some time. I had thought about doing a belly cast but I have never, ever thought of a use for it once it had been made (I am not one to hang a pregnant belly on my wall even if it is painted and called "art").

I did find Belly Mapping though and knew the kids would find it a neat way to visualize Whitaker before he arrives. We found the position of the baby and Simon did a wonderful job at drawing him in place.

I then let the kids color him in for the fun of it- I used washable markers which I'd highly suggest. :)

Isn't he beautiful???

I love the first picture of Jackson. He's looking right at you as he lowers his orange marker to your belly, as if giving you one last chance to change your mind! :) Looking forward to Friday.
